Our Story
Middle Cross Construction was founded by John Fergus in May of 2006. John and his wife Stacie moved to the Estes Park Valley from Pennsylvania in 1993 with their two children, Shea and Aishlinn. As a craftsman with prior experience, John quickly found his place working in the construction industry. After years of building homes from the ground up, John began to focus on his skills in trim and finish carpentry. In 2006 John broke out on his own to offer his interior trim work to the Estes Park Valley. Eventually John’s daughter, Aishlinn, picked up the skills of her Dad and partnered with him as an additional carpenter. In 2020 John expanded his business and took over Highland Cabinetry & Design. With this growth, John added many incredible craftsmen and designers to his team. John and the Middle Cross Construction team obsess over the details of creating a clean and seamless look with every project we manage.

Carpenter / Owner
Aishlinn Anderson (Fergus) grew up in Estes Park alongside her father, John Fergus, a carpenter with over 30 years of experience. From a young age, she eagerly assisted him with various home projects, eventually transitioning to helping with client projects in his shop. Under John's guidance, Aishlinn developed a keen eye for detail and a passion for carpentry, working together as a father-daughter team for the next 15 years.
Although she cherished these moments with her dad, Aishlinn took time off to start her family and raise her two young sons. While she now spends most of her time with her 3-year-old and 10-month-old, she still engages in special projects and remains dedicated to passing on her father's carpentry skills to future generations.
